Updating clob data
The maximum length of TINYTEXT has 255 character (8 bits), TEXT has 16,535 character (16 bits), MEDIUMTEXT has 16,777,216 character (24 bits) and LONGTEXT has 4,294,967,295 character (32 bits). The structure of the table 'article' is as follows: import *; import *; import *; import javax.servlet.*; import javax.*; import
In our example, servlet Insert Clob Example takes url for the CLOB data (the url will be pointing to a text file). According to the Mysql, there are four text types TINYTEXT, TEXT, MEDIUMTEXT and LONGTEXT which can be taken as CLOB type and have the maximum lengths and storage requirements.
In pseudo SQL what I want to do is the following: UPDATE tbl Log SET c Log = (c Log 'new logtext') WHERE id = 1 Thanks in advance Thank you for your answer, I tried to do as you suggested, but I get an "inconsistent datatypes" error msg.
Does this have something to do with me using a CLOB field?

I have a table with logs, I was wondering if it was possible to append data to my clob fields in existing rows?
Suppose I have 1) a table "t1" with blob data in it, and 2) an UPDATE trigger "tr1" defined on that table, where the triggered-SQL-action for "tr1" references the blob column from the updated ("new") row.
